Pricing & Quotes
How do you calculate pricing?
Our pricing is based on measurable quantities — primarily surface area of walls and ceilings, along with linear footage or quantities of other items such as trim, doors, cabinetry, or specialty features.
Our measurements and calculations are exact. The only variable that can affect pricing is the amount of preparation required, which can vary based on the condition of existing surfaces. This ensures your price reflects the real work needed to deliver a durable, high-quality finish — not assumptions or shortcuts.
Is the price fixed?
Yes. Once your written quote is approved, the price is fixed for that scope of work.
If you decide to add work, change finishes, or adjust the scope after approval, we’ll clearly document and price those changes before moving forward. No surprises, no retroactive charges.
How long is my quote valid?
All quotes are valid for 30 days. This accounts for material pricing, scheduling availability, and project planning.
Do you offer upgraded finish options?
Yes. Depending on the type of project, we may offer upgraded coating or finish options that improve durability, appearance, or long-term performance. These are always optional and clearly explained so you can choose what makes sense for your home and goals.
Scheduling & Project Planning
How far out are you typically booked?
Under normal circumstances, we aim to be booked 4–6 weeks out. This allows us to properly plan projects, staff them correctly, and avoid rushing work.
That said, we do our best to work with your schedule whenever possible. If you have timing constraints, let us know — flexibility goes both ways, and we’ll be upfront about what we can accommodate.
What can affect scheduling?
Scheduling depends on several factors:
- The size and complexity of your project
- Your flexibility with timing
- Other projects ahead of yours (especially if their scope changes)
- Special requirements or deadlines
If your schedule is firm, we can be firm too — the key is clear communication early so expectations stay aligned.
What happens after we accept the quote?
Once your project is approved:
- All details are transferred to our production team
- A team member will contact you to confirm final information such as access, colors, special requests, etc.
- A tentative schedule is set
- Any remaining logistics are handled before work begins
Our goal is to have everything planned in advance so the job runs smoothly, efficiently, and without last-minute issues.
Prep, Protection & Jobsite Standards
How do you protect our home and belongings?
Preparation and protection are where we truly separate ourselves.
We exceed industry standards by taking a detailed, methodical approach:
- Floors are fully covered with professional drop protection
- Furniture and personal items are carefully covered or masked
- Fixed surfaces are masked with precision to ensure clean lines
- Adjacent areas are protected to prevent overspray or dust transfer
This level of prep takes more time — and that’s intentional. Proper protection is essential for both a high-quality finish and a respectful experience in your home.
What do we need to do before the job starts?
We’ll guide you on anything we recommend moving or securing ahead of time (such as small personal items or valuables). Everything else — including professional prep — is handled by us.
What about cleanliness and dust?
Some prep work (especially sanding) can create dust, but we use containment, masking, and cleanup practices to minimize impact. We maintain a clean, organized jobsite and perform daily and final cleanups.
Materials & Products
What paint products do you use?
We primarily use Benjamin Moore products due to their consistency, durability, and performance. We’re also comfortable working with a variety of high-quality finishes when appropriate for the project.
For cabinetry, we use 2K urethane coatings such as Milesi, which offer exceptional durability, smoothness, and long-term performance.
Our focus is not brand loyalty — it’s using high-quality products that stand the test of time.
The Crew & Communication
Who will be working in our home?
Your project will be completed by a trained crew following our established standards and processes. There will always be a clear point of contact for questions or updates.
How do we communicate during the project?
Open communication is encouraged. If something comes up — questions, concerns, or small adjustments — we want to hear about it early so we can address it quickly and effectively
Changes & Additional Work
What if we want to add or change something once work begins?
This is common. Any additional work or changes will be clearly outlined and priced before being completed. This keeps everything transparent and avoids
misunderstandings.
Warranty & Peace of Mind
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. We provide a 2-year workmanship warranty because we stand behind our preparation, materials, and process. This warranty reflects confidence in our work, not fine print.
Payment
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. We require a 25% deposit to cover material costs and the overhead required to properly schedule and complete your project.
The remaining balance is due according to the terms outlined in your quote, typically upon completion after final walkthrough.
